#1 Paris Saint-Germain

With 1,547.7 FCR Points, Paris Saint-Germain finishes as the #1 ranked football club of the 2025-26 season, retaining the #1 position for a second consecutive season.

The result takes PSG's all-time tally to 13,040.2 points in the FCR index and lifts the club to #19 in the all-time rankings, up from #21 the previous season.

The foundation of PSG's campaign was their UEFA Champions League triumph, worth 1,160.2 FCR Points, combined with another dominant Ligue 1 title, which contributed 387.5 points. Together, those achievements cement PSG's position as Europe's highest-performing club of the season.

#2 Arsenal

Arsenal claims the #2 position in the 2025-26 season with 1,428.1 points following a campaign that delivered both domestic dominance and European excellence.

The season lifts Arsenal to #15 in the all-time football club ranking with a cumulative total of 16,223.8 points in the FCR index, continuing the club's rapid ascent on the index over the past two years.

Winning the Premier League title contributed 500.0 FCR points, while a runners-up finish in the UEFA Champions League added a further 928.1 points. Together, those performances produced one of the strongest seasons in Arsenal's modern history.

#3 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich claims the #3 position in the 2025-26 FCR rankings with 967.6 points following a campaign that saw the club reclaim domestic supremacy and reach the UCL semi-finals.

The season preserves Bayern's all-time rank of #3 and increases the club's cumulative tally of 37,925.3 points, further cementing its status among European football's elite institutions.

Winning the Bundesliga title contributed 387.5 FCR points, while a UCL semi-final appearance added 580.1 points. Although Bayern delivered another strong season, the absence of a Champions League trophy means Vincent Kompany's project remains short of the European summit.

#4 Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid claims rank #4 for the 2025-26 season with 765.1 points. The deserved rank comes as a result of a strong UCL campaign and a good La Liga season.

The consistent performer Atletico Madrid sits at #11 all-time rank with a cumulative tally of  23,276.9 points on the index, further cementing the status of Atletico Madrid as the unsung elite club.

The 2025-26 tally comes from a semi-final appearance in the UCL adding 580.1 points and a fourth place finish in La Liga added a further 185.0 points. In a season which saw Atletico's city rivals slip up, fans would be justified in feeling that a higher league finish was a missed opportunity.

#5 Aston Villa

A surprise entry in the top five, Aston Villa secures the #5 position in the 2025-26 FCR rankings with 548.1 points. The club's rise was fueled by a stellar UEFA Europa League campaign and another strong season in the Premier League.

In the all-time FCR rankings, Aston Villa occupies #38 with a cumulative tally of 6,331.7 points. The ranking reflects both the club's historical significance and remarkable longevity as one of the founding members of the English Football League, having participated in the inaugural 1888-89 season.

Aston Villa's 2025-26 season added 348.1 points through their UEFA Europa League triumph, while a fourth-place Premier League finish contributed a further 200.0 points. The club's presence in the top five also highlights a core principle of the FCR index: sustained relevance across generations matters. Aston Villa may not possess the trophy collection of Europe's traditional super-clubs, but a combination of historical significance, longevity, and contemporary success has earned the club a deserved place among the season's highest-ranked performers.

#6 Barcelona

Barcelona find's itself in position #6 for the 2025-26 season with 462.5 FCR points owing to its La Lia triumph, marking its 29th La Liga victory. In the all-time FCR index Barcelona ranks #2 with a cumulative of  43,589.4 points on the FCR index. A moderate UCL performance being the limiting factor this season.
